सुदुरपश्चिमेलीहरुको मौलिक पर्व "गौरा पर्व"को अवसरमा स्वदेश तथा विदेशमा रहनुहुने सम्पुर्ण नेपाली आमाबुबा, दाजुभाइ, दिदिबहिनीहरुमा सुख, शान्ति एवं समृद्धि तथा सु स्वास्थ्यको हार्दिक शुभकामना व्यक्त गर्दछु । गौरापर्बले धार्मिक, सामाजिक र सांस्कृतिक महत्व को भूमिका बोकेको छ! धार्मिक मान्य़ता अनुसार गौरा अर्थात पार्वतीले नित्य आराधना पूजा गरि पौराणिक कालमा भगवान शिव अर्थात महेश्वर लाई बर को रुपमा प्राप्त गरेको सम्झनामा शिव पार्वती को पूजा गरि देउडा खेल्दै यो मनाइने गरिन्छ ! करिब एक हप्ता सम्म चल्ने यो भाद्र कृष्ण पन्चमी का दिन देखि सुरु हुन्छ उक्त दिन भाडो भाड़ोमा बिरुडा अर्थात् पाच प्रकारको अन्न (मास, गहत, गहु, केराउ , गुरुस ) आदि ! राख्ने गरिन्छ। दोस्रो शष्टीको दिन पानी भएको ठाउँमा गएर बिरुडा धुने गर्दछन ! धोएर शुद्ध स्थानमा राख्ने गर्दछन  सप्तमीका दिन नौ प्रकारका बिरुवा हरु जस्तै धान, बेलुपत्र, कुस, दुबो, तितेपाती , फुल आदी राखेर गौरा तयार गरिन्छ सोही दिन भित्र्याउने पूजा गर्ने दुब्धागो चढाउने जस्ता काम हरु गर्ने गरिन्छ  अष्ठमीका दिन गौरा खलॊ,  अर्थात् गौरा खेलाउने ठाउँ...
